Recent details have emerged regarding the tragic passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their Los Angeles home property on Sunday.

According to a report quoting a family associate, a massage therapist scheduled for an appointment initially became concerned after failing to get inside the home. The practitioner then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

Upon entering the home, Romy found her father's body. Reports state she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Following this, emergency responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, including the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently detained without bail.
